National Salvage & Service Corporation is an industry leader working with Class One railroads to assist their track renewal and maintenance programs. We are a growing company seeking a self-motivated, resourceful leader to join our team of Project Managers. This position requires ability to travel and work outside, covering the entire railroad track system within your territory. DUTIES, TASKS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Position requires travel and over-night stays within Project Manager’s assigned territory. Home on weekends.
- Majority of the work takes place outside on railroad tracks and through all weather conditions.
- Develop relationships with Railroad team to influence opportunities to complete projects.
- Visit railroad tracks; determine terrain obstacles, accessibility for large trucks and equipment, staging areas for materials, and project time frame.
- Create, implement, and communicate a detailed plan for the track site. Work with staff to solve challenges as they arise.
- Coordinate logistics with National’s team and railroad’s Track Supervisor.
- Inspect materials to pick up; quality of rail, ties, and OTM (other track materials).
- Analyze reports to effectively manage daily production and proactively develop solutions to overcome obstacles.
- Manage, direct, and communicate with the team in the assigned territory including operators, drivers, general laborers, and sub-contractors.
- Monitor use, maintenance, and condition of vehicles and equipment.
- Proficient use of GPS and computers (Adobe, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 3 years’ management or supervisory experience.
- Familiarity with the Rail Road Industry a plus (not required).
