JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Type: Full-Time

Supervision: Report to Director of Engineering

A Project Manager’s primary role is to plan and organize projects while finding creative engineering

solutions for successful project execution within scope, budget, schedule, and quality standards. The

position also oversees Project Engineers who assist and support in completing project activities.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Structural engineering systems and materials subject matter expert.
• Create structural design documents using AutoCAD.
• Performs site visits required by project milestones.
• Reviews design drawings and specifications at periodic check points as required by project

milestones.

• Participates in value engineering and scope and budget reconciliation when required or

requested.

• Writes detailed reports related to structural engineering of projects and confers with fellow

engineers when appropriate.

• Supports the needs of other project leads for input to their efforts.
• Assists estimating and completing proposals in regards to potential projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate meets the following requirements:

• BS Civil Engineering (Structural) or related degree, MS a plus
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) is beneficial
• 8 to 10 years in the engineering field
• Familiarity with structural engineering software (AutoCAD 2014-2016, Risa, Revit)
• Strong Knowledge of Microsoft programs including Excel
• Experience with OSHA, and MSHA standards
• Structural detailing knowledge
• Knowledge of current compliance and regulatory laws
• Wiling to ride construction swings, climb scaffold, and tolerate heights.
• Self-motivated, creative, efficient, and schedule driven
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external customers
• Strong organizational and management skills
