The Inspections Manager directs and manages the activities of the Inspection departments company-wide. Reviews and analyzes operations and forecasts future results to determine progress toward stated goals and objectives for inspection timeliness and performance. This position is responsible for planning and implementing the financial budget of department. Frequent travel throughout our company footprint is required.

The ideal candidate for this position has 10+ years of experience in the fire protection trade, minimum NICET Level III in Inspection and Testing of Water-based systems, seven years progressively responsible management experience, strong supervisory and management skills with high customer service expectations, financial analysis (P&L) experience, and outstanding leadership qualities. Fluent English speaking and written communication skills, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directs and manages operations of the Division through Supervisory personnel utilizing Company policies, standards and procedures.
  • Participates in the development of the Company’s plans and programs as a strategic partner.
  • Participates as a member of the Senior Management Team by supporting Company initiatives and providing input and feedback on Company goals and programs.
  • Develops, utilizes and manages financial budgets for Division operations, to include P&L, aging reports and utilization reports. Investigates and documents reasons for variances and develops and maintains corrective action plans.
  • Maintains appropriate staffing levels for Division operations.
  • Develops Division goals and communicates them to respective Managers.
  • Ensures the auditing of completed job files to determine compliance with Company policy and procedures.
  • Develops and maintains list of potential and existing customers and markets the Company and/or additional services to them.
  • Ensures that technical expertise and appropriate level of training is provided for Team Members.
  • Reviews all contracts to ensure the Company can perform the Scope of Work and that the Company is protected in those relationships.
  • Responsible for developing and training Supervisors in the Division.
  • Responsible for ensuring necessary licenses are held by appropriate Team Members within their area of responsibility.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • College degree in Business or a related field
  • Five years progressively responsible management experience
  • Experience in supervising and managing staff
  • Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, staffing, and scheduling
  • Excellent computer and Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
