    We are currently looking for a full time estimator/ Project Manager for our general construction company. You must have experience estimating and running projects for a commercial general contracting company. We are seeking a multi-fauceted person to interface with clients, create new detailed project cost estimates and proposals, and to manage the successful completion of the project. Candidates need a selling attitude, exceptional client-management experience and strong organizational skills. This is an excellent opportunity for growth and advancement with an established and successful firm. We are located in Dallas, TX.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee each stage of the project, subcontracts and suppliers
    • Insure proper administration of construction contracts
    • Responsible for job site safety and quality control
    • Manage the Project Schedule and prepare weekly look-ahead schedules
    • Coordinate material and equipment purchases
    • Manage all project costs
    • Prepare daily, weekly and other related project reports
    • Prepare change orders, RFI’s, punch-list and close-out docs
    • Attend pre-bid walk thru
    • Review subcontractor/vendor estimates for accuracy, uniformity, and completeness, including inclusions, exclusions and bid information
    • Coordinate and review all drawings and details while identifying critical details and notes that may impact the project
    • Reconcile drawing revisions back to previous set
    • Accumulate, evaluate, update and document historical cost data for the development of future estimates
    • Maintain a vendor, subcontractor database for bid solicitation
    • Develop scopes of work for the sub-contractor bidding process
    • Participate in pre construction meetings to assist project team in understanding job specific challenges and risks
    • Prepare, review, seek, and evaluate bid opportunities

    Qualifications

    · Able to read architectural plans and develop cost estimates

    · Strong understanding of construction processes

    · Proficiency with MS Word and Excel

    · Able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines

    · Good problem-solving skills
