Commercial Operations Manager, New York
SailGP Operations Team has an opening for a Commercial Operations Manager. This position will be responsible for managing the organization’s ticket operations across all categories (on land, on water), sales analytics against ticketing, and act as liaison for local teams. The Commercial Operations Manager will lead in executing all programs on the ground with the support of an operations team. The Commercial Operations Manager will be responsible for maximizing ticket revenue and continually growing sales numbers through research, analysis, observation, and insight.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Ticketing, Retail, Hospitality and Experience sales.
- Contribute to the development of a detailed strategy, and implement the exploitation of SailGP event commercial opportunities, including corporate hospitality, on-land and on-water retail, ticketing opportunities, food and beverage concessions, concerts and parties.
- Structure, manage and deliver on-water and on-land ticketed spectator or guest opportunities, working closely with F50 League’s event and marketing teams.
- Support the development of the design and packaging of the SailGP commercial offering at events, including new ways of experiencing Sailing as a sport and as a show, to reach new audiences and actively contribute to make SailGP events financially sustainable.
- Structure, manage and deliver third party service providers in connection with the implementation and delivery of a food and beverage concessions program for the events.
- Actively promote and manage the assigned sales, including the production of collaterals and digital assets.
- Plan and manage assigned commercial operations at the venues and online on a global scale.
- Select and manage agencies for the sales and implementation of the SailGP corporate hospitality program at events, where applicable.
- Manage KPIs, forecasts and revenue / cost tracking for the assigned SailGP commercial program
- Structure, manage and deliver a holistic SailGP spectator ticketing strategy.
- Manage and deliver food and beverage sales at SailGP events.
- Organize ticketed parties and concerts on behalf of SailGP.
- Structure, manage and deliver SailGP’s Superyacht program.
- Investigate, propose and deliver other forms of event revenue generating operations.
- Develop commercial revenue opportunities and operations for SailGP outside of event periods.
Background
- Significant experience working within ticketing and analytics, preferably in sports and entertainment industries.
- Experience working with major ticket operators (i.e. Ticketmaster, Live Nation, etc.)
- Knowledge and proficiency of ticketing systems, box office operations, CRM and analytics software.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office, Keynote, Google Drive.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required
