The Vice President of Sales & Marketing is responsible for securing the long term profitable growth of the TSM Division by understanding the targeted markets/customers, providing critical input into Product Development activities, promoting TSM’s products/capabilities and developing new business opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop strategic marketing and sales plans based upon targeted market/customer knowledge
- Establish, maintain and grow relationships with existing and future customers based upon open, honest communication and a sincere desire to achieve a win/win scenario
- Identify and develop new opportunities in support of the TSM’s goals and objectives
- Establish and maintain accurate pricing landscapes and sales forecasts based upon market trends, competitor analysis and customer input
- Work with Product Development team to provide customer/market product requirements, ensuring that TSM products meet/exceed competitor products and achieve the Voice of the Customer desires
- Coordinate external marketing of TSM products/capabilities, including development of promotional material, targeted advertising and TSM participation in industry, customer and trade show events
- Establish and track annual sales and marketing budget, in support of TSM goals/objectives
- Provide regular reporting and updates to TSM Executive Leadership inclusive of sales targets, forecasting, budgeting and status, re-forecasting at periodic points and producing projections as required.
- Develop world-class sales team by mentoring/coaching sales associates, focusing on their professional development and providing continual constructive feedback and motivation.
- Fosters and instills HSM’s mission, vision, values, and ethics within the organization
Qualifications: Education/ Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business Administration
- 10+ years’ experience in a manufacturing sales environment, minimum 5 years in progressive sales leadership role
- 3+ years’ experience in marketing/promotion coordination, trade show coordination experience desired
- Automotive or transportation industry experience highly desired
- Excellent communication and relationship skills are a must
- Strong computer skills/experience, including MS Office Suite
- Ability to collaborate and motivate others
- Proven sales and negotiation experience
- Extensive experience with upper management interactions and presentations
- Up to 50% Travel to both customers and TSM facilities
