We are looking for a seasoned and skilled communicator to join our team in DC and serve clients worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary contact for brand, reputation, and crisis clients
- Create and build strong and lasting client relationships, based on expertise, responsiveness, trust, and an unparalleled work product
- Develop integrated communications strategies, backed by research, experience, and instincts
- Work with the media on behalf of clients
- Help attract new talent and work to build a team with diverse views and backgrounds
- Travel as needed
Skills & Qualifications
- Advanced writing in a variety of formats, from ad copy, op eds, speeches, and media statements
- Outstanding verbal communication skills, including the ability to persuade and negotiate
- Ability to think on your feet, prioritize, and triage
- Current on emerging technologies and trends in communications and PR
- High emotional intelligence
- Excellent judgment and willingness to take risks
Experience
- Eight or more years in public relations, crisis management, advertising, or journalism
- A degree in a relevant field, such as journalism, English, political science, or law
- A track record of handling complex and high-profile crises along with strong problem solving and analytical skills
- History of managing competing interests
- Social media expertise and demonstrated success building a following or quelling criticism online
