Security Engineered Machinery Co. Inc. (SEM), a growing manufacturing company specializing in information security and destruction, is seeking a results-driven, entrepreneurial Vice President of Finance to oversee our finance organization located in metrowest Massachusetts. SEM has been a critical solution provider of media destruction equipment to U.S. government and intelligence organizations as well as large multinational commercial entities for over 50 years. SEMâs solutions include devices that destroy a variety of information storage media from paper and optical to hard disc drives and solid state media.
The successful candidate will have proven success managing all financial aspects of a small to mid-size manufacturing business including financial management, cost accounting, information technology, and cash management.
The Vice President of Finance will report to the President. The Vice President of Financeâs duties include driving business growth, allocating/budgeting resources, formulating policies, coordinating business operations, monitoring and mentoring staff, managing operational costs, identifying business opportunities, and monitoring overall financial activities and performance.
Qualifications:
- Must have accounting or finance degree. Advanced degree, CPA / CMA preferred.
- Strong entrepreneurial spirit with desire to motivate and mentor colleagues.
- Ten years financial management experience in a small to mid-size manufacturer.
- Prior manufacturing cost/standards responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
