Position Summary

The project analyst supports the project management function, participating as a key member of the Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) project leadership team. The TPRM program is a multi-year strategic initiative at State Street. The candidate will work with stakeholders across the company and some of the best talent in the company and industry. This position works to administer key project management functions including financial reporting and tracking, plan and milestone management and administration, documentation, and status reporting. Depending on experience, the project analyst may also be called upon to directly manage low- to moderately-complex projects including all aspects of project leadership.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create and publish project artifacts in collaboration with the project management practice team e.g., status reporting, financial tracking,
  • Steering committee updates, etc.
  • Build governance and communications mechanisms e.g., regular communications meetings, newsletters, one-off communications etc.
  • Document risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, actions and decisions and maintain in a central location.
  • Perform accountability activities on project plans and milestones to ensure teams are tracking to their commitments.
  • Maintain detailed project plans and/or plan sections based on input from the team, balancing resources and time to meet project goals.
  • Escalate and collaborate to resolve issues that are identified.
  • Participate in / lead portions of project team meetings.
  • Represent deliverables to the team and stakeholders in meeting settings e.g., present financials, milestone compliance, issues tracking, etc.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of job related professional experience.
  • Comfort with ambiguous situations and the ability to bring structure to reduce ambiguity.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required.
  • Excellent self-management skills; self-starter and able to work independently while knowing when to ask for help.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of business analysis and/or project management methodologies viewed favorably but not required.
  • Strong relationship management and communication skills; exposure to executives and senior management a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Excel, and Word required.
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail required.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills required
