Program Managers work closely across our operations team, product and engineering teams, and additional cross-functional project stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of customer projects. Responsibilities will include the development of project plans, data collection strategies, budgeting, and oversight of customer deliverables.
The position will be at the forefront of fusing open source and alternative data collection methods with established customer data collection processes. Applicants will be expected to have strong analytic and technical skills to blend data collection with emerging capabilities.
We have built technology that focuses on crowdsourcing hyper-local data collection and effectively integrating that data into analytical products for ongoing operations and missions. We drive insights that enable to monitor resources and make strategic decisions that improve operational efficiencies in over 70 countries. What you get to do:
- Own relationships with clients and partners during program implementation and set up the appropriate communication infrastructure to track program status and keep stakeholders up-to-date
- Ensure customer success by managing expectations around process and operational outcomes
- Support the Product and Sales teams in customer discovery discussions with potential clients and partners
- Moderate internal cross-functional meetings dedicated to client deployments.
- Prepare and deliver required program documents and reports, such as design documents, test plans, project plans, and status reports.
- Cultivate a culture of openness and transparency to ensure program success
- Prepare and present proposals and develop a narrative for new clients
Your background and skills likely include:
- BA/BS in Business, Economics, Political Science, IR or a related field
- At least 3-5 years of experience working on issues that may include but are not limited to: global/national security, international market research, or international development.
- Proven examples of owning operations and driving success in ambiguous settings
- Excellent communication skills (both for technical and non-technical audiences)
- Previous program management success
- Simple data analysis experience (Excel-level)
- Passion for spreading mobile technology to large numbers of new users
- Relentless drive to listen, learn and improve and the world around you
- Eagerness to embrace a wide spectrum of responsibilities and projects
- A belief that no task is below you if it’s important to achieving success
Bonus Points:
- At least one year at a technology company or start-up
- Experience living abroad, preferably in an emerging economy
- Fluency in at least one language besides English
- Experience using ArcGIS, Excel, SQL writing, Python, and Google Earth tools
- Military and/or experience with the intelligence community preferred
