MacGregor Black are partnering with an Award Winning Global Events Staffing Agency on the search for an Managing Director. This is a permanent role based in Los Angeles, California.
As the Managing Director you will oversee business operations and provide strategic leadership as the business moves into itâs next stage of growth. You will be fundamental in supporting the global leadership team to achieve the agency mission of being the leading global provider of people for brands, whilst upholding its values.
The Managing Directorâs responsibilities include developing and implementing strategic plans and company policies, driving strategic agency growth, maintaining an open dialogue with stakeholders, and driving organizational success. In addition, this role will be required to mentor and develop their team and build a strong culture from everyone to operate within.
As we move into the next phase of the business, we will continue to focus our attention on technology being at the core of how we grow, execute and partner with our clients. As such, the Managing Director will be required to support this vision.
To be successful you should be able to manage and advance a business’s strategic objectives. Ultimately, an outstanding Managing Director is an exceptional leader who drives a company’s strategic visions, is adept at crisis management and someone who drives a positive and sustainable culture for our teams and clients alike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and executing business strategies to achieve short and long-term goals
- Reporting to the board, providing market insights and strategic advice
- Developing and implementing business plans to improve cost-efficiency whilst maintaining delivery excellence
- Maintaining positive and trust-based relations with business partners, shareholders, co-workers and clients
- Overseeing the company’s business operations, financial performance, investments, and ventures
- Supervising, guiding, mentoring and delegating the SMT in their duties
- Ensuring company policies and legal guidelines are clearly communicated
- Assessing, managing, and resolving problematic developments and situations
- Building and enhancing the company’s public profile at events, speaking engagements, etc
- Driving the overall performance of the US division through delivery excellence and strategic growth
- Being an ambassador for company culture, mission and values
What we are looking for:
- Extensive experience as a Director or in a similar role
- Experience in developing and implementing strategic and business plans
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Able to excel in high-pressure situations
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
