Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Manager-Financial Operations (RED&F).

In this role, the successful candidate is reporting to the Senior Director, Finance & Administration of RED+F, this position’s primary responsibility is ensuring effectiveness within the organization’s financial functions. Working with the RED+F management team, this position also contributes to the development and implementation of departmental systems and processes. The Manager of Finance Operations will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of the day-to-day operations related to the financial management of the Departments operating areas with a primary focus on RED+Fs real estate property management and housing portfolio


Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Financial Operations through improvements as well as coordination and communication between the business functions.
  • Support management reporting, information flow and management, business process, coordination and planning and further enhance systems and processes of REDFs financial operations.
  • Design, develop, implement and maintain business solutions Assist in evaluating current and proposed systems and procedures; Increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the team through process or systems improvements.
  • Oversee payment of property taxes; manage property tax-exemption filings
  • Oversee financial operations and reporting of portfolio of properties managed by third party management firm.
  • Oversee Housing finance operations; review financial reports for submission to Corporate Accounting.
  • Recommend changes when necessary and assist in implementation of new processes.
  • Oversee overall financial management, planning, systems and controls.
  • Compile and analyze financial information.
  • Develop integrated revenue/expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations.
  • Create and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual reports and ensure financial information has been recorded accurately.
  • Identify trends and developments and present to management.
  • Coordinate annual budgeting process for the Real Estate & Housing Portfolio annual budget ;Generate monthly and quarterly reports of departments financial performance against budget.
  • Managing day to day processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable using existing systems, and producing reports as requested.
  • Reconciling monthly activity, generating reports, and fulfilling accounting requirements. Perform financial forecasting and reconciliation of internal accounts.
  • Review operating budgets in order to analyze trends affecting budget needs.Interpret results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation to complex data mining.
  • Lead and direct the work of othersSupervise real estate and housing analysts; manage functions, delegate and assign work accordingly.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree is required with at least 5 years relevant, full-time experience in financial management; and strong background and work experience in Finance, Property Management, Real Estate
Oral and written communication and presentation skills
Strong computer skills and proficiency in excel, and MS office are essential
Peoplesoft and Unifier (Oracle) knowledge a plus
A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards in a diverse workplace; Ability to delegate responsibilities effectively; and train and develop a team.
