The Logistics Manager is responsible for leading and strategic planning for the logistics of the warehouse and distribution teams in collaboration with the sales teams. This position will report to the Territory Manager.


Role Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead local distribution and warehouse planning process
  • Responsible for overseeing staffing levels, training, evaluate and development of team members
  • Participate in employee development at all levels through activities such as talent acquisition, training, performance management, communication and expectation setting
  • Maintain receiving, warehousing and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing program operational and personnel policies and procedures
  • Motivate, organize and encourage teamwork within the territory to ensure productivity targets are achieved
  • Responsible for overseeing the inventory management process, defining departmental strategies for appropriate inventory levels and minimizing product loss (BD&L)
  • Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
  • Establish distribution goals, manage all delivery and warehouse business indicators and review processes regularly
  • Work with the appropriate teams, such as Dispatch and Planning to ensure route plans and order processes are maintained and improved
  • Ensure communication of daily plans and compliance to Coke Florida and facility policy on OSHA/safety standards, DOT regulations, and EEOC guidelines
  • Ensure commitment to superior customer service working in concert with the sales and merchandising teams
  • Create, manage and achieve the overall logistics department budget including labor and OPEX budget
  • Work with sales and fleet departments to ensure deliveries are timely, accurate, and efficient
  • Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates

Role Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Transportation or Logistics Management is preferred
  • 5+ years experience in consumer products, logistics environment and direct store delivery
  • 3+ years supervising distribution and warehouse staff
  • Experience managing budgets and P&L
  • Intermediate skills in standard business office software and database application
  • Familiarity with DOT and OSHA regulations
  • Valid driver’s license and driving record within MVR policy guidelines
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to think independently and handle multiple projects through to completion
  • Record of successfully collaborating with and influencing senior management and peers
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and manage teams
  • Demonstrated independent work initiative, sound judgment, diplomacy, analytical ability and professional demeanor
