Position Overview:

Develop, manage and maintain the policies, goals and priorities of technology initiatives at Lee Canyon. This includes the plan, design and implementation of technology systems and projects. Responsibilities will also include business workflow initiatives and the retention and development of staff.

Key job requirements

  • Maintain the priorities and practices of the IT team including Network Administration, Systems Administration, Telecom Support and Help Desk Activities.
  • Responsible for overseeing IT personnel including hiring, coaching/development, performance appraisals, etc.
  • Develop and manage policies and practices for disaster recovery, business continuity and cyber security.
  • Develop tactical project plans for IT projects including timelines, equipment quotes, and risk assessment.
  • Maintain and oversee technology budgets and contracts.
  • Work with management to advise and gain approval for the long-term goals, priorities, and objectives of the IT team.
  • Provide advanced end-user, network, telecom, and systems support.
  • Ensure all technology assets are appropriately managed and maintained.
  • Support and troubleshoot a wide range of technology solutions including Point of Sales, pass scanners, cell phones, security cameras, and RF radios.
  • Work with resort leadership & Business Units to facilitate business needs assessments and ensure appropriate utilization of IT systems.
  • Work closely with the POWDR technology leadership and technology professionals across all POWDR properties on special projects.
  • Ensure a superior level of customer support and service.
  • Perform other duties as needed as a member of the IT team.

Required knowledge, skills and experience

  • Excellent understanding of Network and Systems Administration in a Windows domain environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing Windows Server environments including, updating, patching, disaster recovery and implementing security practices.
  • Previous experience as a technology leader, manager or supervisor.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and an ability to quickly learn new technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both individually as well as in a team environment.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills required.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical implementation.
  • S. degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience.

Preferred knowledge, skills and experience

  • Direct experience managing hybrid AD / Azure AD domain environments.
  • Experience with DevOps principles, automation, and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Experience migrating and managing cloud-based workloads.
