    Director of IT and IT Support

    St. Andrews University, a branch of Webber International University, is seeking a Director of IT and IT Support for the campus located in Laurinburg, North Carolina. . This person will be responsible for performing system administration including adding/removing computers, updating rights to shared network, installing and maintaining the network, and providing the first contact for users requiring support or technical computer systems assistance and operations procedures to support the computing environment.
    The essential functions and responsibilities for the Director of IT and IT Support are the following:
    * Fixes network and software related issues.
    * Performs regular network system administration including adding/removing users, securing rights to shared network services, data and resources, installation of network – based software and systems components.
    *Provides first line end user support for information management systems and technology, including Internet services and the local area network.
    * Provides technical guidance, advice and training to system users. Installs new versions of personal computer software.
    * Manages regularly scheduled library of tape backup resources including daily backups and weekly backups
    * Develops and coordinates an overall software applications training curriculum for end users of all levels.
    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
    The Director of IT and IT Support must have the following.
    * A Bachelor’s Degree in MIS or related field is preferred accompanied by 2 years relative experience in an MIS environment. Other combinations of education, certifications, and experience may be considered.
    * Working knowledge of personal computer operating systems, networking systems and applications software Windows based.
    * Analytical/problem solving, independence, flexibility, leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills—this person serves the faculty, staff, and coaches, as well as the traditional students on campus and online students.
    * Willingness to be available outside of normal scheduled daytime hours during night and weekends.
