Role Summary

The Chief Technology Officer oversees all technical aspects and technological resources of LifeStylePlan for the purpose of organizational growth, establishes a technological vision, and leads the company’s technological development.

Essential Functions

• Setting a vision for how technology will be used in the company

• Ensuring that the technological resources meet company’s short and long-term needs

• Developing and leading a world-class engineering team

• Outline the goals for research and development with the executive team

• Creating timelines for the development and deployment of all technological services

• Making executive decisions based on company’s technological requirements

• Maintaining a consumer-focused outlook and aiding in the delivering of IT projects to market

• Managing technology budgets and time frames

• Staying on top of technology trends and developments

• Ensuring all technology practices adhere to regulatory standards

• Leading the strategy for technology platforms, partnerships, and external relationships

• Representing the technological agenda in executive meetings and when making hiring decisions

• Identifying, comparing, selecting, and implementing technology solutions to meet current and future needs

• Developing, tracking, and controlling the annual operating and capital budgets for purchasing, staffing, and operations

• Managing and optimizing infrastructure assets to satisfy internal financial targets

• Tracking, analyzing and monitoring technology performance metrics

• Overseeing all designs and changes in system architecture

• Working closely with Business Development, Operations, and Marketing to define and deliver new products and enhancements

• Working with other departments to use new technologies to streamline company policies and rules

• Overseeing IT budgets to make sure there are no unnecessary expenditures

• Developing and directing all networking safeguards to reduce the risk of outside breaches and protect sensitive internal and external client information

Education, Experience and Skills

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field, MBA preferred

• Experience:

  • Front-End – HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuerry

  • Back-End – PHP, AWS

• Minimum 8 years working in a technological role

• 5+ years of technology management experience

• Advanced technological skill set and a demonstrated history of managing full-scope product development

• Exceptional team management skills

• Previous working experience as a head of technology

• In-depth knowledge of web systems architecture, design, and development

• Hands on experience with complex project management

• Proven tracking record of being a proactive problem solver

• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills

• Excellent negotiation and well-honed consultative selling skills

• Leading work ethic and a competitive instinct to win

• Natural ability to sell and build strong relationships – both externally and internally within the organization

• Proven leadership skills with ability to adapt to different environment
