JOB SUMMARY

The Vice President of Operations is responsible for

  • overseeing Hospital Housekeeping Systems programs at multiple sites
  • managing the success of day-to-day operations within the area assigned and ensuring that policies and best practices set forth by senior leadership are carried out
  • hiring and developing management personnel within his or her assigned area, routinely evaluating strengths and weaknesses of their management teams, and providing tangible development plans for future growth
  • monitoring the implementation and effectiveness of HCAHPS and safety programs, ensuring that fiscal responsibility is exercised, and fostering positive relationships between HHS and hospital administration teams

QUALIFICATIONS

Management experience is required. A successful Operations Vice President will be able to

  • set clear expectations and performance goals
  • motivate their management teams, creating a positive culture of success and mutual support that suits the needs of every manager
  • utilize several techniques for training, such as one-on-one training, workshops, and meetings
  • multi-task, manage personnel remotely, travel a minimum 30 percent of their time (both air and ground), and also communicate effectively with customers and management teams, both orally and in writing

The Essential Functions Test (EFT)

During the EFT, individuals will be expected to perform a series of controlled lifts and movements that replicate the tasks performed as part of their employment.
  • The EFT helps HHS determine whether potential team members have the physical abilities required to perform their job.
