Job Overview:
The Vice President Global OEM Business Development is responsible for developing and implementing the business strategies required to drive double-digit sales and profitability growth for Ecolab Healthcare’s global OEM business. This executive will work closely with members of the Healthcare management team to execute the business strategy to grow revenues and profits of the OEM business through additional customer partnerships, establishment of product leadership positions by leveraging Ecolab’s R&D, quality, regulatory and manufacturing capabilities, driving an increase in manufacturing scale and operational efficiency and aggressively pursuing organic and inorganic opportunities to drive step-change growth.
Main Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the strategic, operating and financial performance of a global business with more than $100M in revenue. Assess the external environment, including the competitive landscape, and internal capabilities in order drive a 5-10x increase in the business
- Develop strong C-suite relationships with current and potential OEM customers. Partner closely with customers, Research Development & Engineering and Marketing to develop long-term partnerships and innovation roadmaps to grow Ecolab’s OEM portfolio
- Lead the Global OEM sales team. Set ambitious growth goals and manage performance in line with business objectives and strategy; develop and retain talent to assure the accomplishment of growth objectives and ensure a bench of strong talent to meet the business’ growth needs
- Spearhead creation of the annual OEM strategic plan, with accountability for all financial targets in collaboration with the Healthcare leadership team
- Execute approved plans and programs to achieve objectives. Evaluate results to assure achievement of plans and objectives
- Leverage and collaborate with the supply chain, quality and regulatory organizations to drive continuous quality improvement and productivity/cost savings.
- Develop and maintain awareness of the competitive environment and market conditions to ensure that the business plans and strategies will be responsive to change and maintain customer satisfaction while achieving business goals. Build forward-looking business intelligence capability to keep pace with market changes and disruptive trends
Basic Qualifications:
- Four-year degree in Business, Engineering or equivalent
- 8+ years healthcare industry experience, preferably with experience in P&L management, innovation, marketing and/or sales leadership roles
- Demonstrated sales & marketing leadership capability and ability to shape a clear vision, translate the vision into strategies, actions and results
- Demonstrated ability to lead people and drive the talent management processes, from recruiting through to talent development and succession planning
- Ability to work and create alignment within a matrix structure, interdependency management, high levels of collaboration and strong, demonstrated leadership with change agility
- Have the potential to lead larger businesses in the next 3-5 years. Proven track record of leading and building a high performing team and delivering superb results through strong execution
- Strong customer orientation and understanding of sales, innovation, and marketing processes
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate degree or MBA
- P&L leadership experience, preferably in the Healthcare industry, with a track record of delivering consistent results (sales to income)
- Experienced in leading and managing multiple product lines and functions including; Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, Product Development, Sales, and Business Development
- Mature self-starter, who is resourceful, entrepreneurial and results driven. Able to operate at both strategic and operational levels finding routes around or through barriers with a “can-do” attitude
- Possess excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, can quickly gain respect, influence others, and be viewed as a solid leader by subordinates and peers
- High levels of self-awareness and intelligent risk taking
