    Work Schedule: Full-time, nonexempt

    Reports To: Director, Porter County PACT

    Duties

    • Adhere to guidelines regarding confidentiality
    • To the extent possible, work with client families, employers and other support persons to assist clients in developing the skills to acquire and maintain pro-social relationships
    • Engage in pro-social modeling in all interactions with the client and in work-related functions
    • Apply incentives, sanctions and therapeutic adjustments in accordance with agency policy
    • Conduct client orientation and validated risk and needs assessments
    • Inform the court/team of an individual’s appropriateness for participation if needed
    • Refer clients to the Veterans Administration and other certified mental health and alcohol and drug programs for evaluations and recommended services and or treatment as applicable
    • Develop a case plan based on assessment results and client input that focuses on participant risk reduction
    • Conduct case management meetings with clients to reduce risk and criminogenic needs
    • Attend court as needed
    • Prepare written reports for the program team regarding client progress
    • Provide the program team with recommendations regarding incentives, sanctions, therapeutic adjustments, graduation and termination
    • Reassess clients with the IRAS in accordance with agency policy to identify their levels of risk and areas of criminogenic need
    • Maintain participant files, following agency, federal and state guidelines
    • Document all interaction with (and regarding) clients in each client’s record in accordance with agency policy
    • Adhere to varying work schedules as needed
    • Travel for purposes related to program integrity and professional development
    • Engage in ongoing professional development training, at minimum meeting initial and ongoing credentialing and training requirements established in the program policies and procedures manual and the Problem-Solving Court Rules
    • Conduct drug screens as required

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED required
    • Bachelor’s degree or experience in related field required
    • Experience in a substance abuse setting preferred
    • Experience in a criminal justice setting preferred
    • Demonstrated ability to identify and work with community resources
    • Knowledge of evidence-based principles and practices preferred
    • Excellent written communication skills required
    • Excellent verbal communication skills required
    • Demonstrated ability to facilitate classes
    • Excellent organizational skills required
    • Demonstrated ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
    • Demonstrated ability to operate a computer, printer, telephone, calculator, fax machine and copier
    • Adherence to the Judicial Code of Conduct required
