Job Description

Responsible for overall leadership, management and operational profitably of assigned service center location. Includes managing day to day aspects (team, facility, inventory, safety, quality, productivity, equipment, expenses, customer service requirements) of assigned location to ensure customer deliverables are met.

Essential Functions

  • Accountable for managing the Service Center workforce to include:
  • Assignment of daily job task
  • On-going understanding of workforce and service center skill set gaps and development of plan to address gaps.
  • Provide environment to sustain a motivated team
  • Liaison between workforce and HR in required situations
  • Accountable for Service Center P&L results. Provide detailed corrective action plan to resolve P&L misses.
  • Accountable for Service Center Quality to include conducting root cause analysis on non-conformance and developing a corrective action plan to resolve non-conformances.
  • Accountable for creating and sustaining a pro-active environment to facilitate a continuous improvement culture using Lean Principles and Methodology.
  • Accountable for Service Center Safety process that includes monthly inspections, conducting Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and resolving identified risk/hazards in a timely manner.
  • Accountable for driving the monthly forecast for Service Center, which includes working with sales team to enable meeting or exceeding the forecast.
  • Accountable for 5S/Visual Factory process to include monthly audits and timely corrective action on non-conforming audit results.
  • Accountable for providing support on special projects at the plant.
  • Accountable for Safety-Quality-Delivery-Inventory-Productivity (SQDIP) performance metrics and applicable Root Cause Countermeasures (RCCM) to meet service center and company goals

Supervisory Responsibility

This position will oversee all employees at the service center.

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma.
  • Four to six years of experience as a Site Manager or Facility Manager. Must have good mechanical and technical aptitude.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • A two to four-year degree preferred
