We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality processes and the effectiveness of the overall program to ensure the utmost in customer satisfaction by creating, implementing and utilizing the required testing systems as required by our customer requirements. The Quality Manager will also be responsible for ensuring continual quality improvement within the facility and maintaining the requirements of the ISO 9001 requirements and is responsible to ensure that all quality related policies and procedures are adhered to and carried out on an ongoing basis as well as reviewing the adequacy and effectiveness of the Quality System.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pinpoint relevant quality needs
- Oversee Third Party Audits as needed
- Responsible for Internal Audits as required
- Ensure calibrations are performed on schedule
- Investigate and respond to customer complaints and Non-Conformances
- Ensure compliance with consensus standards
- Fill in in Inspection when required
- Insure Quality Policy and Objectives are being followed
- Ensure all products consistently meet and pass set quality standards
- Supervise quality staff and provide guidance and feedback
- Administer, update, and maintain all SOP’s, Non SOP’s, Work Instructions, Job Descriptions
- Handle day-to-day problems with inspectors and equipment
- Conducts Internal Audits
- Knowledge and able to process and instruct on PPAP’s and FAIR
- Manages disposition of non-conforming product
- Manages the management review process
- Must have in-depth knowledge of current ISO 9001
Experience:
- Metal Fabrication QC: 5 years (Required)
- Quality Management: 10 years (Required)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications including GD&T
- Ability to communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally, with people at all levels.
- Knowledge of measurement and test equipment: Tape Measure, Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gage, Protractor, Gage Blocks, Gage Pins, Etc.
Preferred:
- Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machine:
- Experience with Global Shop Solutions Software
- Experience with Virtek Laser System Measuring Machine
