Position Highlights:

The Information Services (IS) Project Manager (PM) is accountable for: developing and executing the project plan for large complex Rush projects or programs; optimizing the utilization of resources to realize the project objectives within schedule and budget; maintaining an enterprise, cross technology view during execution and leading the project team through Rush project processes.

Position Responsibilities:

Follows project management processes and contributes to standard implementation methodologies and management best practices
Coordinates activities across the full life project management life cycle including optimization efforts
Provides input into team member performance appraisals
Creates solutions that integrate customer needs with IT strategic direction. Incorporates cultural change management principles throughout project initiatives
The authority in a specialized, critical function or area of IT
Manages vendors related to projects
Leads programs with potentially several sub-projects, and/or concurrent projects.
Measures, manages and communicates project variances
Identifies risks and proposes mitigation strategies
Builds constructive and effective relationships internally and externally
Translates informal and incomplete information into actionable direction
Applies multiple technologies to solve business problems
Understands the organizational culture
Accountable for project baselines including scope, schedule, resources cost and quality

Position Qualifications Include:

Experience with implementing information system applications and technologies preferred
Seven or more years of project management experience typically preferred
BS/BA degree in computer science, information systems, health care or related fields desirable.
PMP certification desirable
Relevant experience may be substituted for formal training
Thorough knowledge of formal project management techniques and tools through training and direct experience (MS Project or other project scheduling tools)
Command of common office tools (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, e-mail)
