Job overview and responsibilities

Responsible for implementing project initiatives within the Global Operations Strategy, Planning and Design Division.

Leads and directs a team of stakeholders in the planning and execution of station openings, closings, mainline to express conversions, express to mainline conversions, line of service ground handler transitions, and airport and terminal moves.

Identifies, assembles, and provides leadership and direction to cross-divisional team to ensure successful implementation.

Leads and directs a team of stakeholders in the planning and execution of airport transformation initiatives.

Responsible for ensuring projects are delivered operationally ready on time.

Ensures model provides for all airline elements contained in each type of project.

Directs cross divisional responsibility for team of 20 to 150, depending on project size, and sets foundation for operational success.

Provides strategic leadership during project management and execution for cross divisional stakeholder team to ensure issues are addressed and roadblocks eliminated.

Develops and maintains a variety of models to ensure consistent application and execution of multi-divisional projects including: station start-ups, closures, conversions (mainline to express or express to mainline), seasonal service, line of service transitions and terminal moves.

Directs definition of implementation plans to ensure clarity for organizational and individual ownership for each component of the transition.

Defines methodologies for project standardization, prioritization and systems to capture costs associated with market entrance and exits to support corporate decisions on profit versus revenue.
Required
- High school diploma.
- Minimum two years’ experience in Airport Operations or related background.
- Experience in large project management initiatives and working cross divisionally.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Performance management, problem solving, decision making and innovation are key skill sets.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
Preferred
- Bachelors preferred, experience can be substituted.
- PMP or equivalent certification.
- Multi discipline field leadership experience with preference for General Manager experience.
