Basic Purpose: To manage the department in compliance with the philosophy, policies, procedures, goals and budget of the medical practice to support all registration/discharge; scheduling, and call center activities .
Schedule:
Monday through Friday – 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Primary Duties:
1. Coordinates and participates in direct and indirect patient care activities in accordance with the department’s policies and procedures.
2. Sets the standards and maintains the guidelines for all electronic medical record compliance for the office.
3. Demonstrates responsibility for continued professional growth, competence, and development.
4. Participates in departmental program of Continuous Quality Improvement and other quality control activities.
5. Complies with the Core Values, Mission and Philosophy of Comprehensive Centers for Pain Management.
6. Collaborates with other health care professionals in meeting departmental goals. Establishes and maintains mechanisms for communication and constructive problem solving with staff. Utilizes a team approach in decision-making and problem solving. Build trust and mutual respect. Supports and promotes decentralized model for decision-making.
7. Works with the billing manager to implement processes for billing and collection of all patient accounts.
Job Summary:
- Provides direction of care, according to the guidelines established by the Medical Director.
- Coordinates the front office services with those of the referring physicians in the community.
- Participates as a member of the office’s management team in planning, policy formulation and administrative decision making with particular reference to the role functions and operations of the office.
- Is responsible for patient care, management, resource management and fiscal management.
Essential Functions:
- With the assistance of the DECA Management recruits, orients, trains, evaluates, and monitors the job performance of clinical department personnel.
- Performs ones’ job duties in compliance with the policies and procedures of the medical office
- With the Chief Financial Officer and Director of Nursing, prepares an annual budget and manages the staff and department, consistent with office goals.
- Establishes and achieves goals and objectives for the Clinical medical office.
- Assist the Front office and call center managers in formulating the registration/discharge functions of patients; scheduling processes and the call center to facilitate the processes for the patients.
- Cultivate, maintains and enhances intra-departmental and medical staff relationships
- Plans and implements staff development activities
- Identifies, collects, and reports relevant statistical data to reflect the activities of the department and staff

General Information:
Must be currently educated as a Medical Assistant; have knowledge and ability to understand the clinical role of the Medical assistants and provide leadership and mentoring for this role
Must be able to move about and between workstations.
Must be able to understand directions, communicate and respond to inquiries: requires effective interpersonal skills.
Must be able to input and retrieve information from computer.
Must be able to lift medium materials, Non-material handling of: continuous standing, walking, bending, stooping and reaching; frequent pushing, pulling and squatting. Occasional sitting, stairs and kneeling.
