Title: Operations Manager
Reports to: Vice President of Operations & Sourcing
Dyno LLC is a well-established entrepreneurial marketer of consumer packaged goods to most mass merchant, hardware, drug, supermarket and craft/fabric chains in the U.S., Mexico and Canada. Our product portfolio is comprised of some of the world’s most respected brands in sewing/craft and seasonal categories.
Primary responsibility is to oversee the operations of the company’s contract manufacturing facilities in Mexico to ensure that manufacturing and fulfillment operations meet customer needs, while aligning the facility to meet corporate business objectives. Principal goals are to provide on time shipment to customers at the proper quality and cost to ensure success.
Ensures facility managers properly plan, organize and execute the annual production plan. Works with factory management to identify, recommend, develop and implement cost-effective solutions for continual improvement of facility operations. Works with key corporate and sales stakeholders to develop new product offerings, process offerings and methods to utilize the Maquiladora concept to provide best cost solutions to Dyno customers.
Responsibilities:
· Provides leadership and direction to facility managers.
· Ensures timely production and shipment of customer orders.
· Ensures production at best cost and meeting the budget established for the year.
· Develops business costing for hybrid merchandise programs.
· Reviews quotes to ensure correct material and production costs compared to Dyno’s ERP system.
· Optimizes production and operations to ensure efficient operations to meet cost expectations.
· Develops annual production capacity plan and ensures factory has necessary resources to meet plan.
· Monitors production plan and ensures factory is meeting production targets to ensure timely shipment of customer orders.
· Assists factory management in developing annual budget and ensuring its accuracy to reality on monthly basis.
· Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for improving efficiency and cost structure of the facility.
· Ensures timely and accurate reporting of metrics is provided as requires by management.
· Develops and maintains both supplier and customer relationships in order to improve cost and efficiency in distribution operations
· Reviews customer issues and implements positive change to improve process to alleviate problems
Knowledge and experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics or Operations Management or related field of study from an accredited university, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing a factory in a Maquiladora environment.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with capital budgets and project management.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with budgeting, cost control and personnel administration.
- Experienced interactions with labor unions.
- In depth knowledge of production planning and efficiency calculations.
- Fluent in spoken and written English and Spanish.

Salary: $75,000.00 to $100,000.00 /year
Experience:
- with capital budgets and project management: 5 years (Preferred)
- managing a factory: 5 years (Preferred)
- with budgeting, cost control & personnel admin: 3 years (Preferred)
