The Role:

Ticketmaster is looking for a Manager, Software Engineering who can thrive in our fast-paced environment. We are seeking candidates to join our Presence Team who are proactive, self-starters and have a proven track record of working collaboratively across an organization. This team is tasked with ensuring the best entry experience for fans, artists and venues alike. At the forefront of a critical business function, the Presence Team is responsible for building innovative solutions to provide the best entry experience for our fans and other stakeholders. To do so, we need leaders who are excited not only about building, evolving and monitoring business-critical applications, but also about developing a strong team and providing a growth environment for employees.

In this role the candidate must be able to teach, coach and mentor engineers at all levels, build strong partnerships within the team and across the organization and do so while leading by example and with integrity. In addition, the Manager, Software Engineering will be a key decision-maker, collaborating closely with partners in Product and Project Management, as well as multiple development teams.

What a Qualified Candidate Should Possess:

  • 2+ years of leadership experience as a software engineering manager
  • 5+ years of professional hands-on software development experience
  • 2+ years of professional experience in a DevOps or support role in an Agile environment
  • Experience in front-end single page applications is an asset
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field
  • Experience leading and mentoring software engineers
  • Understand, promote and capable of leading via servant leadership
  • Proven thought leader, and change agent
  • Exemplary communication skills
  • Ability to quickly assess and manage priorities
  • Must possess an understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA)
  • Experience with AWS or other cloud services
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD and overall automation best practices
  • Experience with an open source development environment using tools such as Maven, Git, Eclipse, JIRA, Gradle is a plus
