We are currently recruiting for a dynamic, and customer-service focused International Move Manager, to lead our team. The candidate we select will be accountable for all customer service on international relocations for national accounts, government and private business. Communicates with the transferee/account throughout the entire relocation process. Develops international rate quotations and routings and coordinates the movement of international shipments worldwide.

Significant Responsibilities and Essential Functions

1. Responsible for managing transportation services such as rail, ocean, air and line haul carriers. Constructs competitive and accurate rate quotations within 24 hours or otherwise specified. Contacts, coordinates and interprets overseas rate schedules. Confirms rates and services for all underlying transportation service providers.

2. Serves as liaison among corporate clients, Hilldrup International sales force, international transportation service providers and our global partner network. Counsels customers fully on the relocation process.

3. Responsible for achieving adequate profit per order and minimizing loss.

4. Responsible for reviewing all customs regulations and informing the customers of all necessary regulations, paperwork/documentation required for an international relocation.

5. Monitor all international shipments through the move management system and status updates. Responsible for paperwork and registration for all international shipments in the Hilldrup system.

6. Ensures that shipments are routed via quoted services and that all charges are correct by reviewing all invoices submitted by carriers.

7. Ensures that proper documentation is received and correctly distributed.

8. Responsible for frequent communications with the customer throughout the relocation in order to maintain a high quality of customer service.

9. Responsible for follow up on quotations with account or customer and to assist in improving closing ratio for department.

10. Accompanies sales staff on joint sales calls and attends international seminars and department training programs.

Minimum Job Qualifications Required

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or transportation related area or equivalent business experience.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of transportation related experience. 2 or more years’ experience in international business, including customer service.

Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations: None required.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Basic knowledge of world geography. Ability to read and speak the English language, composes correspondence, and develops a series of business/status reports. Must be proficient with PC applications. Effective analytical, decision making and verbal communications skills, including the ability to investigate business problems, develop effective recommendations, negotiate and present solutions and resolve problems in an efficient and professional manner.
