Cadence Translateis seeking a Head of Peopleto support the full lifecycle of our employees.

This is our first dedicated HR hire and it will allow the successful candidate to have a massive impact on the future growth and culture of our firm.

We’re a leading language services firm serving the due diligence industry. Through professional interpretation, translation, and transcription, we enable our clients to unlock better business insights at every stage of the investment cycle across the language barrier. We have two offices, in Beijing (Sanlitun), China and Los Angeles (DTLA), USA. Our full-time employee cohort represents over 10 nationalities, and our linguist community includes over 2,500 freelancers that speak 25+ languages based around the globe.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day responsibilities of HR management;
  • Develop an employer brand strategy to maximize employee retention and experience;
  • Manage employee lifecycle – recruiting, on-boarding, development, offboarding;
  • Lead recruiting strategy, screening, interviewing, and hiring process for all LA-based positions;
  • Administer employee compensation, training, and benefit programs;
  • Design and execute human resources policies and procedures, including establishment and maintenance of employee benefits;
  • Administer quarterly performance review process;
  • Process payroll;
  • Act as liaison between employee and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices and regulations;
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefit laws and regulations

Ideal qualifications:

  • Fluency in spoken and written English;
  • 7+ years of work experience in human resources and/or people operations;
  • Experience working with Salesforce and Gmail;
  • Strong inter-departmental and vendor communication skills;
  • Detail-oriented, punctual, responsive, and generally responsible;
  • A strong desire to learn and help others.
