District Manager for Take 5 Oil Change

Job Summary

A successful District Manager creates and grows a productive working environment inside each store under their charge while hiring and developing Shop Managers who are committed to servicing our customers and developing their teams. The District Manager is responsible for developing a comprehensive, overall vision for each store in their district, ensuring each unit is executing the Take 5 playbook and striving towards unit level maximum profitability. District Managers hire and develop Managers, establish performance benchmarks and goals for each unit and manager in their district and implement, enforce and adjust policies and programs that will enable their teams to achieve goals and grow professionally and personally.

Role and Responsibilities

Leadership

· Builds and motivates teams, keeps employees engaged, ability to make hard decisions regarding employment, strong ability to evaluate, assess and resolve conflicts

· Planning and Organizational Excellence: Establishes systematic courses of action for self and direct reports in order to accomplish objectives and goals of the organization. Ability to determine priorities for different stakeholders and allocate resources effectively to accomplish the organization’s goals

· Communicates clearly, concisely and honestly in order to ensure effective operations within the store and at the district level

· Support and Motivate store management teams within their district to implement change that aligns with growing and changing company objectives

· Dedication to direct reports and investment in the professional growth and well-being of store managers, assistant managers and lube technicians in the district

· Ability to communicate effectively up to owners and leadership and communicate accurately around different business functions: operations, finance, accounting, marketing, leadership, HR, legal etc.

Employee Development and Team Building

· Provides employees with effective feedback, coaching, mentorship and developmental opportunities

· Develops and maintains positive relationships with employees in the district by understanding and address individual motivations, needs and concerns

· Manages district-wide store management team by regularly conducting performance assessments, providing feedback, developing action plans and setting challenging goals to improve performance

· Constantly monitors and manages district-wide management staffing levels

· Develops succession planning for management across the district to support growth and new unit openings

Business Requirements

  • Regularly utilizes management information tools and analyzes financial reports to identify and address trends and issues in district performance
  • Competent with Business Intelligence Platforms to evaluate and take action around KPI trends and overall operational and financial health of the business, district and individual units
  • Expected to generate and maintain budgets
  • P&L experience and familiarity.
  • Constantly reviews store environments and key performance indicators within the district to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00 to $65,000.00 /year
