We are now looking for a Senior Manager to join our Consumer Business Development team in New York. This role will look after Spotify’s strategic distribution partnerships. The right candidate will have day-to-day responsibilities to ensure that it’s a win-win-win partnership for the partner, the end-user and Spotify! Above all, you will impact the way the world experiences music.
What you’ll do
- Negotiate and review contractual agreements, and assume day-to-day responsibility of partner relationships post deal-signature.
- Ensure that Spotify’s commitments in a partner relationship are delivered (e.g., marketing, data reporting, etc.) as well as follow-up on the partner’s commitments.
- Build deep relationships inside partner organizations across all functions
- Be the ‘go to ‘person for the partner’s needs, defining and executing on the long-term partner strategy.
- Seek, assess, and secure activation opportunities, and carry out detailed partner analysis
- Coordinate with other relevant departments across the wider business, specifically Legal, Licensing, Product, Technology, Marketing, Content and Revenue teams.
- Support distribution strategies/activities together with the partner.
- Identify new opportunities to grow partnerships and unlock additional value for both Spotify and our partners.
- Be an expert on partner business and overall technology industry.
- Be the voice of the partner within Spotify
Who you are
- You have 7+ years of working experience in strategic partnerships, business development or consulting capacity
- You have significant and documented working experience within the digital technology or hardware industry.
- You have experience working with external partners and complicated organizations.
- You have a strategic consulting or partner management background with a project and/or product focus with documented track record.
- You are an experienced negotiator, familiar with various agreement formats – NDA, SLA, licensing frameworks, etc.
- You have strong and provable project management skills.
- You have a self-going can-do attitude, you won’t be afraid to step in when needed.
- You understand that cooperation and team play is key to success.
- You are fluent in written and spoken English; an additional language is a strong bonus.
- You have the ability to navigate large organizations, work cross-functionally, and build meaningful contacts with decision-makers
