The COO oversees the company’s ongoing operations and procedures. This position reports directly to the president and provides leadership and direction as well as establishes policies that promote company culture and vision through its operations. Primary Responsibilities:
- Effectively lead and oversee daily operations of the organization.
- Strive for continual improvement in all aspects of the business as well as the continued optimization and automation of all operations.
- Establish and maintain a strong line of communication with the president and other department leaders of the organization. This communication will ensure the company’s vision, mission, and values are being fulfilled.
- Work with the president and other department leaders to develop and implement the organization’s strategic plan.
- Identify and provide the resources necessary to accomplish the objectives of all operations.
- Oversee and assist in the continuous improvement of the effectiveness and scope of the quality and environmental management systems.
- Responsible for driving the organization to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow, business goals and objectives.
- Monitor the implementation of approved strategies to drive the performance of the company.
- Formulate and implement operations, policies, procedures, and quality systems.
- Ensure the company is running smoothly and efficiently in accordance with the business development plans and objectives.
- Work collaboratively across the company and share best practices. This role needs to be a major contributor/leader.
- Lead by example; ensure employees understand and adhere to company standards and operation procedures.
- Establish credibility throughout the company as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar and relevant role.
- Previous experience with ISO 9000 preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the capacity to succinctly convey ideas and organizational positions.
- Consistent, well organized, and tenacious.
- High ethical standards/integrity.
