We are looking for a Business Operations Manager for our Technology Infrastructure team. athenahealth is a leading provider of network-enabled services and mobile applications for medical groups and health systems. Our network has electronic medical records for over 110 million patients, with 18% of Americans seen by athena’s 160k providers in the last year.

The Manager will lead all audit, reporting, and metric development activities for Technology Infrastructure, acting as an informed and influential member of the department. In this role the individual will also be a key contact for other internal departments, including Internal Audit, Information Security, Compliance, Legal, Sales RFP, and Cloud Engineering and Operations Program Management Organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with Technology Infrastructure stakeholders (and other internal teams as necessary) to efficiently and effectively complete all audit activities for DirectTrust, HITRUST, PCI, Kantara, SOC1, and other audits as determined by the Internal Audit team.
  • Communicate and coordinate activities including control narrative reviews, evidence collection, walkthroughs, data center visits, remediation plans, and policy document development and review.
  • Collaborate with Program Management Organization on effort to operationalize flow of information from individual teams within the department into dashboards or other tracking mechanisms to ease and enhance reporting.
  • Develop and maintain operational metrics and reporting that surface critical data for department leadership, our parent department Cloud Engineering and Operations, and company leadership.
  • Continually drive improvements in communication and process.

Typical Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in project management, business metrics and/or process improvement.
  • Experience with audit a plus but not required.
  • MS Excel experience
  • Experience with Oracle, JIRA and Archer preferred
