FUNCTION
The Assistant Vice President is responsible for managing those service programs and activities operated by Volunteers of America within the policies and procedures of Volunteers of America.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The position requires a master’s degree, preferably in a behavioral health discipline with clinical license and five years of relevant administrative experience and demonstrated ability to manage multiple programs serving diverse client populations. The candidate should have experience with Medicaid and managed care reimbursement as well as substantial knowledge of and experience working with State of New Jersey funding agencies. In addition, it requires a reasonable combination of skills in the following areas: the design, operational oversight and evaluation of program services / human resource management / budget development and control / property management / public relations and governmental relations.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develop and market program services.
2. Manage program services for quality and consistency.
3. Manage program personnel.
4. Manage fiscal operations.
5. Manage program facilities.
6. Manage community and governmental relations.
7. Perform other related tasks as assigned.
