The Asset Management Alphasearch team is seeking a new Scrum Master/Squad Leader to help broaden the scope of this exciting new application, bringing the best of internal, external and alternative research to our investment professionals across multiple investment advisors.
Alphasearch is a dynamic new research tool that streamlines the investment process by providing easy access to both traditional and alternative data sources along with advanced search capabilities with improved feedback and collaboration capabilities.
It’s is in intended to become the cross-advisor research consumption and publication platform of the future, incorporating the latest in search technology, surrounded by a cloud first design to bring our formidable research capabilities to the next level, and service or investment community’s needs wherever in the world they may be.

The Team
You will be a part of the Engineering team that is responsible for developing and supporting applications that help our Portfolio Managers and Research Analysts around the globe make good investment decisions. The team you will be working with is highly engaged and passionate about solving problems faced by Portfolio Managers and Research Analysts. We are committed to evolving our agile software development process and incorporating the newest technologies and practices. We are moving towards continuous delivery using modern technologies like Angular, Redux, Ionic, responsive CSS frameworks, AWS, Solr, and others.
The Expertise You Have
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 6+ years’ experience as a IT Project Manager/Scrum Master/Squad Leader required
- Past experience working as a software engineer or systems analyst preferred
- Experience working in an agile delivery team
- A passion for working with agile tools such as Jira or Agilecraft
- Familiar with Amazon Web Services and the impact of delivering software on the cloud

- Delivering software that will be used by Portfolio Managers, Research Analysts, and other investment professionals to make critical investment decisions
- Developing and delivering code in an environment where multiple applications share a set of common infrastructure and micro-services
- Working across business and technology, developing solutions and strategies to address the complex needs of our business partners
- Developing and tracking team metrics that will help your team measure and improve development processes
- Implementing an agile delivery method and facilitate all ceremonies (daily standup, retrospectives, sprint planning, etc.)
- Progressing on your teams’ deliverables and help develop the strategic multi-year plan
