Role overview
Escher is seeking an experienced Scrum Master / Agile Project Manager that can take our client service development teams to the next level in adoption of Agile and Scrum practices. As the Scrum Master, you will be working with business partners, project teams and other personnel to lead efforts to deliver on implementation deadlines. The ideal candidate will bring previous experiences, best practices, and a collaborative attitude to help increase our effectiveness in delivering high quality software to our clients. The Scrum Master must be able to excel in an ambiguous environment and be hungry and poised to facilitate change within the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze our current Agile processes, prioritize areas of improvement, and work alongside key stakeholders to implement the improvements
- Facilitate/participate in key Agile rituals from daily standups, sprint planning, sprint demos to backlog management of stories and bugs and retrospective reviews
- Coach team members as needed, including resolving conflict
- Manage projects in JIRA; providing JIRA training to team members as needed
- Monitor and report on key Agile performance metrics to leadership team
- Assist in training team members on Agile and Design Thinking concepts
- Manage various projects at Escher using JIRA as the primary project management tool
- Help in identifying and removing impediments for the Scrum teams
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as a Scrum Master / Agile Project Manager
- Educated to a bachelor’s degree level
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience using Agile performance metrics
- A love to learn and improve as a Scrum Master, always looking to bring something new and helpful to the team
- Ability to set up and maintain JIRA dashboards for team and management
- Advanced JIRA experience as Admin/Power-user is a plus!
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Tools: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Familiarity with EazyBI Reporting, Tempo Timesheets, Tempo Planner, Script Runner
