We are seeking a high-energy, self-motivated, results-driven IT Project Manager with exemplary communication skills, stakeholder management and proactive leadership. This individual will provide program and project management for a wide range of projects and initiatives supporting the Pollution Control Agency. These projects may be large, highly visible and require collaboration with a variety of business, technology and possibly vendor resources.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must clearly demonstrate all of the following qualifications in their resume:
This position requires a minimum of three (3) years of experience in performing IT project management functions, including implementation of small to medium scale, cross-functional projects in a technology environment. Experience must include:
- Demonstrated achievements in project leadership, including proactive planning, tracking, directing and implementing complex projects on time and with desired functionality.
- Experience working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional matrix environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in SDLC Methodologies, Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of industry best practices in project management, business analysis, and design techniques.
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence.
- Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills.
- Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands
- Ability to ensure quality and consistency across multiple projects in the use of project planning, scheduling, scope and risk management, status reporting, change control, issues resolution and other project management controls and practices.
- Experience leading, motivating and managing various project and program team sizes, including internal and external resources, resolve interpersonal conflict, motivate and develop team members, and influence stakeholders and key decision-makers;
- Resource or capacity planning experience;
- Experience giving formal presentations to business audiences;
- PMP certification preferred or thorough knowledge and demonstrated execution of project management methodology, including documentation.
- Effective communication with a variety of stakeholders.
- Ability to learn quickly, understand and apply new knowledge.
- Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiples areas in order to achieve a common business objective.
- Experience with Business Analysis, working with teams to capture requirements, identify business needs, success criteria, and establish test plans.
- Experience working with vendors, writing and managing contracts.
