As the Head of Digital Channels, you will lead all efforts to develop and implement a fully integrated omnichannel digital experience. You will distinguish the client experience (CX), specifically Mobile and Browser, as well as bring to bear global digital trends for alternative digital channels, such as Chat, Chat Bots and Voice. In this role you will

  • Drive the digital channel experience for core digital channels for Vanguard, namely its website and mobile app.
  • Define the strategy around the channels and build out new capabilities.
  • Partner with the Chief Journey Owner, UX and Data & Analytics, as well as business and technology partners across the enterprise to build software experiences our clients are passionate about.
  • Define, lead, and manage target end state, and drive solution building for digital applications, leveraging micro-services architecture and agile methodologies. Ensure vision and alignment on roadmaps.
  • Lead a team of Product Owners and their support teams, attracting talent, and coaching Crew.
  • Introduce key strategies to develop business and technical capabilities, collaborating to align and drive a comprehensive digital agenda across businesses.

What it takes

  • Undergraduate degree, advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum twelve years related work experience required
  • Experience with digital vision formulation and execution. Known as an innovative leader with deep understanding of digital landscape
  • Domain expertise of the marketplace, products, distribution and innovation trends in financial services and digital
  • Deep experience and demonstrable understanding of the tools and technologies available and how to use them effectively to drive CX
  • Ability to think strategically and promote the development of innovative solutions in a constantly evolving, fast-paced environment
  • Dedication to the digital initiative, ability to provide advice and counsel across the portfolio of journeys within Vanguard
  • Excellent executive presence, poise and presentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and personnel development skills.
