Applied Composites (AC) is seeking a Director, Program Management who leads the program management function for a business or a group of businesses. Oversees several related programs and ensures that the overall goals are met. Creates and revises programs, develops policies and guidelines, and ensures compliance with government regulations and management objectives. Partners with all internal functions responsible for product design, production, delivery and support of product(s) assigned. Works with customers to ensure satisfaction and promotes customer relationship with Applied Composites.

Job Accountabilities:

  • Leads the program management function for a business or a group of businesses to achieve overall goals and objectives
  • Provides strategic oversight and business direction across the decision-making roles and responsibilities within all assigned new programs
  • Creates and revises detailed program plans, policies and guidelines; ensures compliance with government regulations and management objectives
  • Collaborates and partners with other internal functions to accomplish product design, production, delivery and support of products
  • Ensures the consolidation of product requirements and development of relevant documents for internal and external use
  • Oversees the development of ROI analyses, opportunity business plans and product development road maps based on specific customer service requirements
  • Seeks to create operating profitability against budgeted standards
  • Directs managers interactions with internal marketing and external sales teams to pursue new opportunities emerging from existing programs
  • Manages risks on program level and ensure appropriate risk management on commercial, projects and in-service level
  • Leads and directs work for team of employees as defined by business needs
  • Manages staff selection, performance, development and training processes to ensure team competencies and capabilities to reach the business goals and expectations
  • Other responsibilities as assigned


Job Specifications:



Education: Post-secondary degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
Years’ Experience: 10-15 years of relevant experience
Skills:

  • Solid experience with project management methodology
  • Possess a strong technical background to understand and evaluate the technical specifications, requirements and capabilities associated with the program
  • Exceptional leadership and strategic thinking capabilities along with the ability to interface with cross-functional disciplines; using excellent interpersonal skills to drive tasks to completion
  • Self-motivated with problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities and projects
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to develop clear and detailed plans
