Job Summary: Manage company-wide hardware and software systems and support its growing infrastructure. Owns relationship with and manages data center and telecommunications vendors that provide operational support. Manage other infrastructure and security IT support staff. Lead technical resource providing server/desktop management, cloud infrastructure, IT project management and able to collaborate with IT Applications Development.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field of study
  • 10+ years’ experience as a network or systems administrator
  • MS Office 365, Exchange and their administration
  • Disaster recovery planning, testing and implementation
  • IT security, including authentication and encryption
  • Data center operations, including backup and restore procedures
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and an ability to acquire knowledge
  • Firewall configuration and management
  • VMware, understanding of Virtualized Multi-host clustering
  • Microsoft SharePoint Online a plus (supporting SharePoint systems)
  • Microsoft Active Directory
  • Secure VPN and Gateway configuration
  • Centrally managed virus control software and asset management software
  • Remote Desktop Services/Terminal Services or Citrix
  • Excellent writing skills for developing and maintaining Technical Documentation
  • Follow and refine best practices for the IT department
  • Provide support to the IT department and participate in cross training to broaden skills, talents and the team environment
  • Experience working in an Agile environment a significant plus

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage company cloud infrastructure and supporting Engineers.
  • Manages desktop support personnel and infrastructure consultants engaged to support company information security requirements
  • Primary contact for security audits
  • Manages data center, network and telecommunications vendors that support company infrastructure
  • Plans, develops and oversees disaster recovery processes
  • Develops infrastructure growth plan that matches company growth forecasts
  • Establishes network specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements
  • Defining network policies and procedures; establishing connections and firewalls.
  • Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor.
  • Evaluates, plans, and procures required desktop technology
  • Maintains plans for necessary upgrades to server and desktop operating systems and tooling
  • Meets financial requirements by submitting information for budgets; monitoring expenses.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the telecommunications field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Provide Voice and Data Telecommunications support to ensure the operation of the Avaya, Xima, or equivalent, phone and call center technology.
  • Supports both on-premise, cloud and hybrid telecom technology solutions.
  • Manages telecom project and operational support vendors to achieve project goals and operational stability.
  • Responsible for the operation of computer and voice systems devices, repair and maintenance of same.
  • Maintains all internal voice switch assets, including equipment, cables, and wires.
  • Independently review work orders and layout sheets, building plans, floor plans, circuit schematics and descriptions, and manufacturers’ technical guidance to select equipment and circuits required.
  • Ensure all technical devices, computers, telecommunications components and devices, are operational for use. Demonstrate and explain features and proper use of all new equipment installed.
  • Install, maintain, and configure voice-over Internet protocol (VoIP) telephones.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
