DIRECTOR MANAGED CARE

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director of Managed Care will be responsible for payer contracting and manages government and commercial payer contract application, compliance, and negotiations, as well as the contract management staff involved. Specifically, they develop proposals to establish, maintain, and improve connections with payers, coordinating with other leaders as necessary. This position also assists with strategic increases, decreases, or diversification in services offered through creative developments or value-based agreements while expanding market share. One indicator of success in this role is growth in South Georgia Medical Center’s market share.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Minimum Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or Finance is required. Master’s in Business, Manage or Finance is preferred.

Preferred Experience: Must have minimum of five years’ experience in managing revenue cycle operations in a multi-specialty physicians group setting along with 5 years of hospital based provider revenue cycle experience.
