Job Summary
The Director of the Brock-Wilson Center for Women in Management leads the Center in three primary initiatives: Significantly improve Krannert’s ability to attract, support and retain female students, develop the Center to be a national model of leadership and development programs that prepare our women students for successful careers in global, technical, and entrepreneurial organizations; better equip all students at Krannert with the competencies needed to lead gender-diverse teams. This position reports directly to the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs.
REQUIRED:
- MBA or Master’s Degree in Organizational Communication, IO/Psych Management, Human Resource Management or a related discipline
- Six or more years of program development and leadership experience in education, industry or government
- Leadership, research, or policy experience in the area of gender equity, especially within the context of the management profession
- Experience in using analytical tools to assess issues and guide decision-making
- Experience and success in organizing events, courses, seminars and programs that promote careers in management for women and girls
- Experience in budgeting and financial management
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and implement efforts to recruit and retain students; work independently and think creatively, develop performance measures for high-level projects and meet those measures
- Familiarity with issues of gender diversity and unconscious bias as they influence access to higher education, education attainment, and career advancement/life development over time
- Ability to envision and develop effective long and short-term strategies to increase the reach and impact of the Center
- Ability to manage relationships to engage existing and potential donors in the work of the Center
- Ability to use analytical tools and databases to guide the Center’s priorities and to document effectiveness of activities
- Ability to access and apply relevant research to develop effective research-to-practice strategies
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to effectively engage small groups and large audiences, and to develop and implement a marketing and communication plan for major initiatives
- Skills in managing, developing and coaching a team-including staff, students, faculty affiliates and volunteers
PREFERRED:
- Teaching and fundraising experience
- Social media expertise
