The Dietary Director is responsible for managing the dietary department ensuring that food quality meets the highest of expectations with our seniors residing in our community. The Dietary Director is responsible for all ordering of supplies, food and equipment necessary to serve three meals every day. The Dietary Director is responsible for managing the staff including hiring, training, disciplinary action and scheduling. Our community servers over 200 seniors on a daily basis with a vast variety of dietary needs, requests, cultural and religious preferences. The Dietary Director must have an understanding of the New York Department of Health and Food & Sanitation Codes, and, be able to ensure the department is operating in compliance with these regulations/codes.
