    We are the Orlando International Airport! The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA) operates OIA and the Orlando Executive Airport. Our airport is a world-class facility serving more than 46 million guests each year and growing.

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Manage and direct assigned risk management and loss prevention programs that include, but are not limited to, insurance programs (liability, property, workers compensation, etc.), insurance claims management, business continuity, claims litigation, indoor air quality, damage recovery, and insurance compliance (airlines, tenants, contractors). Lead insurance renewals process and oversee Business Continuity Plan (BCP). Coordinate development of insurance requirements in compliance with policy for contracts. Evaluate events for compatibility with business practices and within scope of acceptable risk. Maintain construction standard insurance programs for all new and renovation construction projects. Supervise employees in assigned area.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor degree in business or a related field and seven (7) years progressively responsible experience in risk management, workplace safety, loss prevention, claims litigation, claims management, claims adjusting and multi-lines insurance policy procurement in an environment with significant loss exposure; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Risk management and/or Safety management experience in a leadership role required. Business continuity (BCP) experience desired.
    • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities as follows:
    • Analytical skills with a wide variety of safety/risk management functions with attention to detail, demonstrated leadership and management skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to understand, critique, negotiate, market and manage contracts and insurance programs.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook.
    • Claims management for liability, property and builders’ risk losses, worker compensation and other coverages including claims litigation and mediation.
    • Communicate effectively with corporate and defense attorneys and plaintiff attorneys, and develop responses to all legal production.
    • Damage recovery; and mitigation skills necessary.
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects.
    • The following certifications and advanced education are desired:
    • Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU); * Associate in Risk Management (ARM);
    • Certified Risk Professional (CRM);
    • American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) designations as a Certified Member (CM) or Accredited Airport Executive (AAE); or
    • Other Risk and Safety Professional certifications or insurance designations
    • Able and willing to work both standard and non-standard work schedules, including weekends to accommodate airport operations.
    • Must have a valid Florida driver’s license.
