As part of Ingersoll Rand’s Customer Experience Applications team, the Sr. IT Project Manager will lead project teams and deployments to apply industry-leading technologies to improve the experience of Ingersoll Rand’s customers. Candidate must perform as a project leader, able to make decisions, be organized, communicate effectively, and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and must be able to lead projects and teams in a fast-paced environment. This role will be working with project teams ranging up to 50 project team members dispersed globally. The IT Project Manager should have strong collaboration skills and experience in IT Project Management at Ingersoll Rand or a similar large enterprise size company in order to be successful.
Responsibilities:
- Formulate, organize and monitor inter-connected IT projects
- Decide on suitable approaches and objectives in support of projects
- Coordinate cross-project activities
- Apply change, risk and resource management
- Assess project performance and aim to maximize ROI
- Resolve projects’ higher scope issues
- Prepare reports and present to Senior Leadership
- Document and drive issues through resolution, escalating as necessary
Qualifications:
- 8-10+ years Project Management experience
- 3+ years’ experience in IT Project Management or Program Management
- Bachelor’s degree in BA, BS, MIS or related field
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is highly desirable
- Experience in an Agile environment
- Demonstrated experience to effectively participate in multiple, concurrent projects
- IT Project Management experience in a large enterprise organization.
- Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
- Outstanding leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and soft skills – verbal, written, collaboration and team building
- Experience leading projects in an Industrial Manufacturing environment preferred but not required
- Strong problem-solving ability; able to think critically to identify improvement opportunities
- Highly analytical and focused, with keen insight into human behavior and motivational forces
- Demonstrated ability to organize and execute on details, while keeping the big picture in sight
