We are looking for an experienced Regional Fleet Manager for our US Operations. This position will report to our VP of Operations. The ideal candidate will be in Chalmette, LA or Houston, TX. This position does require travel to our US locations to ensure our maintenance standards are being met.
In this role, you will prove leadership, consistency and direction company-wide, for all equipment maintenance functions and the safe maintenance, repair or replacement of power equipment and chassis. Responsible for aiding in supervising, guiding, tracking, managing, maintaining and scheduling diesel trucks and heavy equipment repairs and maintenance company-wide.
Primary duties include but are not limited to:
- Prepares reports to analyze data and makes recommendations for improving operations and solving maintenance-related problems. Tracks analyze and improve key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, schedule compliance, etc.
- Maintains and updates operating and service bulletins for the maintenance department. Communicates directly with the operations department to coordinate maintenance and repair work in shop areas company-wide.
- Establishes consistent operating objectives, plan development and performance reviews to meet customer performance requirements.
- Directs, maintains, and enforces the safety program for the maintenance department and maximizes safety for all maintenance technicians. Implements programs and procedures required to ensure shop cleanliness and safety.
- Assists with planning and implementing terminal facility and operational improvements and expansions. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum education/experience necessary to perform the job:
- Preferred candidates will have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED, have several years of maintenance management experience, be familiar with DOT, OSHA, and FHWA regulations and requirements, be experienced with repairs and maintenance on diesel and hydraulic equipment, and be willing to travel as needed to support the company’s facilities in other states.
Minimum special knowledge and skills required:
- Candidates must be computer literate, have strong organizational skills, be able to effectively prioritize, and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
