SUMMARY
The Project Manager will coordinate and oversee a portfolio of multiple research and communication projects and ensure that the administrative, technical, and operational functions are completed with high quality, on time, and within budget.
QUALIFICATIONS
· A combination of analytical, interpersonal, problem-solving, and writing skills needed to perform the duties described below
· The content knowledge and professional skills generally associated with the attainment of a master’s degree in public health, health policy, sociology, anthropology, psychology, economics or related social science field, or equivalent experience in an organization like KDHRC AND a minimum of three years of project management experience
· A strong background in project management, client relations, business administration, and operations management
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
· Manage project workflow and related management tasks
· Supervise a staff of research assistants, associates, and interns to ensure productivity, smooth workflow, and a positive work environment
· Develop and ensure adherence to project workplans with myriad deliverables, all of which must be met on time and with high quality
· Manage projects with attention to timelines, contingencies, and possible challenges
· Plan and troubleshoot project operations on a daily, short-term, and long-term basis to anticipate the needs of the staff, clients, and overall workflow. Present possible solutions to anticipated problems before they arise
· Manage the work and responsibilities of external vendors, including contractors, consultants, and KDHRC’s projects’ expert panels
· Ensure the highest quality client service and communication
· Ensure the research team members’ compliance with internal management policies and procedures while building team cohesiveness and supporting our corporate culture
· Complete project tasks as needed, such as writing client reports, product content, IRB packages, or overseeing evaluation activities.
· Contribute to long range planning activities
· Complete other management tasks, as assigned
