    Successful Northwest organization seeks full-time Electrical Estimator/Project Manager to work out of our Springfield, OR office.

    Purpose: This position is an integral part of the Company’s competitiveness, profitability and growth. Incumbents are responsible for ensuring that projects are developed, implemented, installed and managed in accordance with the Company’s requirements, including but not limited to safety, quality, customer satisfaction and financial performance.

    Duties include, but are not limited to, the following;

    • Attending pre-bid meetings, visiting sites and evaluating and assessing customer needs in order to understand specifications and identify material, equipment and staffing requirements.
    • Preparing and submitting bids/estimates and construction schedules.
    • Negotiating and preparing contractor/subcontractor contracts.
    • Preparing and submitting construction permit applications.
    • Obtaining and distributing construction drawings and specifications.
    • Acting as primary contact for interface with customer.
    • Conducting, coordinating and/or attending project update meetings.
    • Planning for, managing, monitoring and maintaining project profitability.
    • Reviewing job cost postings for accuracy and management of project budget.
    • Reviewing and approving change orders.
    • Performing other duties as required by the position.

    Skills Requirements:

    • Strong organizing, planning and problem-solving skills.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and customer representatives.
    • Ability to read and understand blue prints.
    • Knowledge with a wide variety electrical materials and methods of installation.
    • Able to do basic circuitry for power and lighting and layout on drawings.
    • Willingness to travel between the home office, in Oregon, and the project site(s) throughout the Pacific Northwest.
    • Working knowledge of MS Office suite of products.

    Education/Experience:

    • 4+ years of successful experience as an Estimator/Project Manager in the construction industry, preferably having managed multi-million dollar projects.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
    • Familiarity with government contracts a plus.
