Professional Services Project Manager

We are a growing training company based in Wake Forest looking to hire individuals interested in the creation and development of online training materials for Oracle Cloud.

The Company: Founded in 1999, Maverick Solutions is a Specialized Oracle Platinum member of the Oracle Partner Network. Our mission is to provide the most robust training offerings at the best value for Oracle Cloud customers. With the advent of the Software as a Service model, Maverick has developed a Training as a Service approach to train enterprise users of Oracle Cloud. Our primary offering- Maverick ENGAGE, is a subscription-based training model which offers a large amount of searchable, customizable content, self-paced simulations, and job aids. We pair our subscription training with a Performance Support tool which guides and assists users within the live Oracle application in real-time.

The Position: We are seeking a Professional Services Project Manager for a full-time permanent role. The PM will be responsible for working with clients and internal resources to oversee the process of customizing the Maverick ENGAGE tool to the client’s Oracle Cloud environment, as well as the process of creating and deploying In-Application Performance Support. In addition, when necessary, the PM will coordinate any Instructor Led Training initiatives for the client.

The PM is responsible for working with the client to determine the scope of the training simulations and in-application Performance Support flows. They are the client’s main representative for initial project creation and the quarterly updates of the simulations and flows. The PM works with the Professional Services team that includes the Oracle Technical Resource Manager, Technologists and other Project Managers. The PM also works with the client’s Project Manager and key stakeholders.

Initially, the PM should have a good understanding of Project Management principles and Curriculum Design. Along the way the PM will learn more about Oracle Cloud, ILT Coordination and curriculum development. Although no prior experience with Oracle is required, a successful PM will be able to pick up complicated technology quickly, apply solid project management principals, and manage customer expectations. They are proactive and able to work independently to take full ownership over their client’s accounts. They have a strong attention to detail and take pride in their work.

This is a fast-paced role with many responsibilities, so organization is essential. A PM must be able to field questions from the client and our team and then creatively problem solve. Due to Oracle’s update schedule for their applications, deadlines are critical for our clients, and the PM will be responsible for making sure their projects meet those deadlines.

This is a leadership role within our team and requires a high level of professionalism. A PM leads by example and by hands-on mentoring to teach professional office etiquette and professional development skills.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Instructional Design, English, Communications, or a related field

· Minimum 2-3 years professional office experience

· Extremely strong organizational skills, time management skills, and attention to detail

· Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently

· Ability to learn complex technology quickly

· Ability to solve complex problems quickly

· Ability to understand the needs of the learner

· Ability to adjust quickly to changing plans

· Ability to use performance data to make decisions regarding processes and project scope

· Ability to analyze needs to meet curriculum requirements

· Ability to facilitate groups and meetings in person and remotely

· Excellent written (writing and editing), oral, presentation, and interpersonal skills

· A heart for mentoring and developing team members

Preferred Experience:

· Minimum 1-2 years teaching or training experience

· Minimum 1-2 years project management experience

· Master degree in Instructional Design, English, Communications, or a related field

Responsibilities:

· Work with the client and Professional Services Director to determine the training needs of the client and determine how Maverick can meet them

· Manage the project to develop client-specific Oracle Cloud training and performance support.

o Determine milestones and deadlines, develop project plans and estimated timelines, and

estimate required internal resources for project

o Clarify responsibilities and expectations for each member of the project team

o Regularly evaluate progress and meet with key stakeholders to update and adjust plan as

needed

· Maintain relationship with the client to determine courseware update needs after each Oracle quarterly update

· Participate in Professional Services team meetings to help determine goals, processes, and vision

· Manage and mentor team members as needed

· Additional duties as needed
