Margaritaville Capitola is looking for an experienced kitchen manager for our high-volume restaurant. We are a first-class casual restaurant right on the water in Capitola that specializes in freshly prepared made from scratch Mexican Seafood. The right candidate is experienced and energetic with a great work ethic and the ability to lead.
Duties
– Lead the daily operations of the kitchen
– Work with kitchen staff to ensure high quality food in a timely manner
– Monitor/Drive food and labor costs
– Maintain safety, sanitation, organization and cleanliness of our kitchen
– Lead Ordering, Inventory, Scheduling, Hiring & Training
– Responsible for kitchen repairs and maintenance
– Refine and evolve existing menu/recipes
Qualifications & Experience
– Min of 3 years of culinary/kitchen management experience
– Min of 5 years line and prep experience in a high-volume restaurant
– Passionate and knowledgeable about food and hospitality
– Able to lead and inspire during busy and slow times
– Strong background in from scratch cooking, seafood and Mexican cuisine
– Solid interpersonal communication and management skills
– Strong written and computer skills to include Microsoft Office & Excel
– Able to understand P&L reports and manage/maintain COGS and labor
