Preferred Experience

  • 10 plus years in a distribution environment and operations management skills.
  • Experience leading large teams over multiple shifts in a 24/7 operation
  • Automation and management system background
  • Experience with performance metric and process improvement
  • Strong financial and data acumen; ability to analyze and utilize to drive results.
  • Create employee engagement and building working relationships internally and externally.
  • Manage, train, and develop supervisors and associates through coaching, mentoring, and communicating
  • Ability to highly motivate others through effective communication while creating a positive, organized, and clean work environment with dedication to our team and customers.
  • Solid organizational skills and decision-making skills as you manage changing priorities and stressful situations
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives that improve customer care, reduces cost, improves service, capacity and productivity.
  • Routinely analyze inventory problems, collaborate with other departments and identify solutions.
  • Coordinate people, processes, and information to assure that inventory is accounted for through cycle and physical counts to minimize inventory overages and shortages.

Required Skills

  • Deep understanding of distribution flow, integration, and automation
  • Experience with WMS – preferably JD Edwards
  • Very strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to see the “big picture” and identify/forecast developing issues.
  • Continuous Improvement experience
  • Experience with Labor Management System
  • Strong verbal and written communication, including public presentation.
  • Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Education

4-year degree or related field or equivalent experience

Minimum Requirements

10+ years operational and managerial experience

Physical Requirements

General Office Demands

Position includes standing, sitting, walking in a warehouse environment

Must be able to carry and operate a laptop

Must be willing to work various hours in a 24/7 operational warehouse
